Mason Cao, Chief Executive Officer

I founded Unified Climate Action at the age of 16 after learning about the harmful effects of microplastics on the human body.

My experience leading UCA and making a positive impact on my community has been highly rewarding and I look forward to expanding our impact even further.

Kevin Yang, Chief Operating Officer

My journey into sustainable living began when I discovered the impact of microplastics on our hormonal health. I started by reducing plastic usage in my own life, but I was tired of seeing others around me still using plastic, unaware of the detrimental effects it can have on their bodies.

Through my role as the Chief Operating Officer at UCA, I'm taking tangible action towards reducing plastic usage in the community and ultimately moving those around me towards a higher level of well-being.

Shawyaan Hajebi, Chief Communications Officer

I lead our communication strategies to effectively engage diverse stakeholders. I present to the SUHSD Board of Trustees to advocate for sustainability initiatives. I regularly contact restaurants both in-person and digitally to promote sustainable utensils.

Additionally, I manage all communications with professors, legal experts, and community members, facilitating collaborations and strengthening our network.

We need your help

Ending climate change and pollution is not something one person or even one government can achieve. It will take the whole world working together to achieve this goal. That's why we are asking you to do anything you can to contribute.

How to Make a Difference

Reduce Plastic Waste

Try to use less plastic when possible. Use reusable or compostable bags, utensils, straws, etc. When you use plastic, make sure to recycle it.

Reduce Emissions

If you drive a gas car, consider switching to a hybrid or EV. If that's not possible, try to drive less and/or carpool more often. Consider installing solar panels to power your home.

Get Involved

You can volunteer, spread the word, or join our educational events to support our mission of reducing the impact we have on the planet.
